Robert Downey Jr. is in his Sherlock Holmes attire as October's cover boy for Empire Magazine and to celebrate the website has released some new stills from Guy Ritchie's detective sequel. The photos below show an interesting mental battle between Holmes (Downey Jr.) and Professor Moriarty (played by Mad Men's Jared Harris under Guy's direction. Another still features the sexy Noomi Rapace as the mysterious Romani woman Sim, an alleged figure who has an allegiance to no one.
In the issue itself, author Damon Wise reports from the film's set and gets some intriguing details on the Game of Shadows plot. But if you want to know more about Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, you'll have to pick up the new issue, or wait until the film hit theaters on December 16 this year.
