Employees will never want to leave.

Much has been made about Google’s utopian work environment over the years and now it seems that Facebook—as it rapidly expands its workforce from about 1,500 employees—is looking to mirror that. After recently purchasing the former home of Sun Microsystems in Menlo Park to relocate to from its current headquarters near Stanford University, FB has now filed plans to open a second office, connected via underground tunnel, southwest of their new home. Combined, the new complex would house about 9,000 employees, enjoying the amenities of outdoor screening area with a two-story projection screen, laundry services, an open-pit barbecue, and a doctor’s office.

Construction, Facebook hopes, will begin in 2013. Start getting your resumes in order.
