Just because Electronic Arts hasn’t released any new installments in their “EA Sports Big” line doesn’t mean that the label is done, particularly the ‘Street’ line of games. As Gamescom this past week, Electronic Arts announced a new installment in the FIFA Street series which is on track for an early 2012 release.
FIFA Street, which is technically FIFA Street 4, will deliver an over the top take on the street soccer genre. Players will be able to assume the roles of some of the world’s most famous soccer stars and travel to more than 35 locales battling it out in a game where style and skill are everything. While the details are still sketchy, EA has announced that the game will run on a modified version of the FIFA 12 game engine and will use a visual style that is more realistic than past entries in the series.
More details and information are expected as we approach the game’s release next year.
