Another week, another story involving Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston. After recently dropping out of Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad due to scheduling conflicts, the actor is currently in negotiations to enlist in World War Z, in company with Brad Pitt.
Not a moment must pass without news of the talented thespian getting another gig. The film, subtitled An Oral History of the Zombie War, finds mankind fighting back against the zombie threat. Pitt leads the brigade as United Nations employee Gerry Lane who is charged with the task of documenting the undead outbreak in an apocalyptic future. Fellow AMC stars Mireille Enos (The Killing) and James Badge Dale (Rubicon) also star.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Cranston's role will be a "small, but flashy" part, which will find him appearing alongside Mr. Brangelina. Already the Emmy award winning actor has a pretty diverse film schedule ahead of him, which includes Red Tails, John Carter, Rock of Ages, Total Recall, Contagion, and Ben Affleck's Argo (the project he picked over Fleischer's movie). While we honestly feel the brilliant Mr. Cranston deserves every job he gets, is he putting too much on his plate? We'll find out next year as World War Z stumbles into theaters sometime in 2012.
