Arthouse Alert: Smoker's Comedy "Your Highness" in Philly Monday (8/15)

You want to be—well, you know.

None

Nothing like a stoner comedy to start the week, right? In David Gordon Green’sYour Highness, Danny McBride plays James Franco’s underachieving and perpetually stoned younger brother who finally earns his stripes when he rises to the occasion. Sounds like a familiar formula, only the film takes place during medieval times. It doesn’t make sense, but since when did logic apply to stoner comedies?

As with all Monday Movie series event at The Troc, the show begins at 8 p.m., but you should show up before 7 for the free beer and bag of popcorn. If you’re immature enough to enjoy a fairy tale filled with weed, sex, and crude language, than you’ll want to make this move. If that doesn’t sell you, remember that Natalie Portman (who was no stranger to the green in her youth) and Zooey Deschanel are in it.

Oh yeah, you might wanna be high for this. Just saying.
