Adult Swim has ordered 14 episodes of the insanely funny comedy, Childrens Hospital, which has been renewed for a fourth season. The show satires the medical drama genre, with Rob Corddry playing Dr. Blake Downs, a doctor who sports clown make-up and believes in the healing power of laughter over medicine. He seems pretty pleased to returning to TV, too. "I'm very pleased and honored by this announcement," he said in a statement. "I'm also very surprised, given that I write this show when I'm very, very drunk."
With the fourth installment promising to be a "cry for help" from Corddry and co., we'll be sure to tune in as the series will begin production later this year for a 2012 premiere.
