Going into a Transformers movie, you know one thing first and foremost: Things are gonna go boom.

But creating the massive sounds for a zillion dollar effects-driven film isn't quite as delightfully simple as the act of enjoying them. To pull it off, the grand wizard Michael Bay employed the folks at SoundWorks Collection, who did weird things like  rubbing metal up against dry ice, playing an electric guitar with a screwdriver and shooting guns in an open field.
