Two things were pretty much universally agreed upon when Nintendo released the 3DS in March of this year: 1. The tech was really cool. 2. The price was really high. To help alleviate the second factor, and hopefully boost the 3DS's lackluster sales, Nintendo has announced that the state of the art handheld will get a deep price cut starting August 12. Formerly $249, the 3DS will soon retail for $169.
If you already bought the system at its high price point, don't fret. Nintendo is gifting early adopters with a voucher for 20 free games.
That's a lot of free games.
