Is "NBA Jam" On Fire Enough To Have Two Million Downloads?

That number isn't totally absurd, is it?

None

NBA Jam, one of the most cherished games of our childhood, is looking to step into the 21st Century. Making the jump from retail to downloadable content, Electronic Arts proudly presents its "On Fire Edition," set for release this fall on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

Designer Trey Smith spoke with Kotaku to elaborate his hope that the throwback franchise finds online success. "I hope two million people will download the free trial of the game," he says. While that is truly unheard of for DLC content, there's no telling how many out of that two million quota would convert that demo into a full paid-for game.

Do you guys think that hoping for two million downloads is crazy? Anyone else planning on giving NBA Jam: On Fire Edition a shot?
