Google+ Reaches 10 Million Users

While still in Beta.

Since its introduction two weeks ago, Google+ has already crossed the 10 million, according to an estimate by Ancestry.com's Paul Allen. The data geek has been tracking new registrants to the site and reveals that its popularity increased by 2.2 million users between July 9th and 10th alone.

Google+ invitations were once a rare m, but in the past week the floodgates have all but opened. Hyper fast growth in the beginning of a buzzy new service is impressive, but it doesn't necessarily translate to longevity-- look no further than Google's last social networking service: Google Buzz.

Now if only the Googlers can get another 740 million or so to hop onboard.
