Ezio's tale in the Assassin's Creed universe may come to a climatic end in, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, but his tale does not end with the games themselves. Ubisoft has announced that they're bringing its 2009 webseries, Assassin's Creed: Lineage, to the masses on DVD and Blu-ray this fall.

If you're a big fan of the franchise, you may have another product to look forward to this holiday season beyond Revelations. Lineage chronicles the exploits of Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, the father of Assassin's Creed II protagonist Ezio, as he unravels a sinister conspiracy in Renaissance Italy. In this collection of short live-action films, you'll uncover the events that would ulitmately see the Auditore da Firenze family patriarch viewed by the church as Public Enemy #1.

In addition to telling a new tale, Lineage will also include a "Making Of" featurette, developer diaries, game trailers, and an animated short entitled Assassin's Creed: Ascendance. Ubisoft and film company New Video will release the DVD on November 15, the same day that Revelations hits stores.

But if you can't wait that long, you can watch the whole thing for free right up top, if you haven't seen it yet.
