In its diligent quest to document and regulate the English language, the Oxford Dictionaries Online has added a new batch of Internet-birthed words to its database. Words like, "infographic", "lifehack", "permalink", and "unfollow" are now all official. As are widely used initialisms like "NSFW" and "ZOMG". Yes, really.

The people at Oxford say that those types of words need to be added because the "world of social networking continues to be a major influence on the English language."

Some may cry foul, but with "LOL", "OMG", "sexting", and "nom nom" already in the lexicon, we're not at all surprised.
