ASUS's entry into the tablet game was a novel one. Taking the same approach as Motorola took with its Atrix smartphone, the company that pushed netbooks to the forefront decided to turn its tablet into a sort of new-age netbook by including a full QWERTY keyboard that could dock with the Transformer. Once connected to the keyboard dock, the thin tablet would be transformed into a notebook complete with better battery life (16 hrs) and more ports (2 USB 2.0). The powerful Tegra 2 processor makes sure all of this happens with the slightest of hiccups.
