Were you worried that being in America would prevent you from seeing the new Ricky Gervais BBC series Life's Too Short? Well, good news! HBO has announced that—like the network did with Extras—it will air Short following its BBC run, sometime in 2012.

The show, which Gervais created with writing partner Stephen Merchant, will follow actor Warwick Davis (Harry Potter, Willow) as he navigates life as a little person in show business. Translation: expect the usual array of off-color Gervais-isms and awkwardness. Gervais and Merchant will appear, a la Extras, with cameos from stars like Johnny Depp and Steve Carell.
