It’s tough to say whether the video chatting trend has already reached its peak with the rise and fall of Chatroulette and the iPhone’s introduction of FaceTime. At the very least, Fring’s new iPad app upgrade looks to increase the public’s infatuation with the technology, now allowing four-way, fullscreen video chatting. Previously, the four screens were limited to iPhone-size dimensions.
Skype, be warned. Between this and Google Chat’s looming implementation of video, the landscape is about to get crowded with options.
