Within the next few weeks, Facebook will finally make available an app optimized for use on the iPad.
Some of the app’s features will be exclusive to the iPad, such as the ability for users to upload photos and videos taken by the device’s built-in camera. Also, Facebook Chat and Facebook Groups will be revamped to better fit the iPad and its touchscreen capabilities.
Mark Zuckerberg himself has reportedly been integrally involved throughout the app’s year-long development process, possibly explaining the photos of Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs that surfaced several months ago of the two CEOs meeting.
With 250 million mobile Facebook users and 25 million iPads sold, the app could be a fruitful endeavor for both Facebook and Apple.
