4. Batman (NES, 1990)

It might sound outlandish today, but the original Batman game for the NES really got it right. It played like a Batman version of Ninja Gaiden and we loved it. The caped crusader could jump off walls to propel himself higher, and could dispatch foes by either punching them to death (hell yeah, Batman!) or hitting them with a weapon. At the time, we couldn’t even FATHOM how a Batman game could get any better than this, but to be fair we had a few graphical generations still to come. With Batman, we’ve been treated right. If only Sunsoft could have worked on a Sgt. Rock game. [VIDEO]
