Smorgasburg, a New Food Market, Opens in Williamsburg Saturday (5/21)

Say what you will about Williamsburg—those people take food seriously. And with great results.

None

The clever name is a tip-off. To enjoy Smorgasburg, a new project from the Brooklyn Flea, you have to go to Williamsburg. On Saturday, May 21, and then on every subsequent Saturday afterward, Smorgasburg will bring together over 100 food vendors and around 20 local farmers for a market offering fresh, good food.

The details are still evolving—this will be the first happening—but the cats in charge promise hot food, canned goods, sweets, cheese and other dairy products, wine, and a selection of meats. Check their Facebook page for updates. If you're interested in participating as a vendor, fill out this form.
