Tomorrow, Atlanta's Young Blood Gallery, an independently owned space for emerging artists and artisans, hosts (re)Defining the Dirty South, a panel discussion on Southern hip-hop. The event will begin with a reading from Ben Westhoff, author of the recently published Dirty South, a history of Southern hip-hop that came out of ample research, including interviews with artists like Scarface and Lil Wayne.

Following the reading, Westhoff will sit with emcee Killer Mike, producer Mr. Collipark, writer Maurice Garland, and Creative Loafing music editor Rodney Carmichael for the panel discussion. This a rare opportunity to see talents from a variety of mediums discuss a subject they are all well-versed in.

The event is free.
