It might be a mistake to say that Patton Oswalt will brighten the rainy city of Seattle. Sure, he'll make people laugh. Like, the kind of laughter that brings on actual tears because the hilarity is so extreme. But at the heart of Oswalt's comedy are uncomfortable truths about America. This is the case with the best comics, and its particularly true with him. Even when talking about something as unremarkable as KFC, he finds a way to skewer American culture (if you haven't seen it, his diatribe on the KFC bowls is perfect; the man is gifted with language). Enjoy. While you can.
