While the previous 3 episodes of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series were mostly grounded in the real world, the latest episode takes on a decidedly otherworldly spin. The episode is short at just under 8 minutes, however, it covers a lot of ground in that time and begins to weave the tale of how the twin sisters of death—Kitana and Mileena—came to be. The story is told in a mix of live action and comic-style animation and introduces several other characters including Shao Khan, Sindel and Baraka. The series is obviously impacted by budget and time constraints, but compelling despite those limitations. Stay tuned next week when the Kitana and Mileena story continues and hopefully we'll get treated to some hot girl on girl action.
