We can't believe it. We played the game like seven months ago, and we still can't believe it! But apparently it's true: 2K Games and developer Gearbox Software have officially announced that Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold. Poof. The code is done, and the master is out the door to the disc plant in time to hit stores one June 10. Now, whether you like it or not is another thing entirely, but you have to admit that it was a colossal feat resurrecting a game so far gone that a Wired feature was devoted to its failure. Props to Gearbox for leading the charge.
Mission Impossible: "Duke Nukem Forever" Is Finished!
Thus endeth the most ridiculous 15 years in video game history.
