It looks like Craig Kilborn is finally returning to television. Maybe. The former Daily Show host, last seen hosting The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn in 2004, has a deal with ABC Studios that will afford him the chance to write a half-hour comedy script, which he'll also produce and star.
Kilborn was a sensation in the mid-'90s thank to his work on ESPN and The Daily Show. Since his post-Letterman show went off the air, though, he's been relatively MIA. Will his brand of snark mean anything to today's audiences? That's far from a sure thing, but then again, so is this deal actually producing a television show that ABC airs.
