Jonathan Ames isn't the only acclaimed author working for HBO. Not anymore, at least. The network has gone into business with acclaimed writer Sam Lipsyte (The Ask) for the potential new series People City.
The New York-based Lipsyte will write People City, which follows a 25-year-old man who gets asked to be the babysitter/caretaker for an eccentric couple's child. No other details have been given just yet, but City certainly sounds like it could be Bored to Death, minus the detective stories.
