GamersFirst is hoping that they can get a second chance at making a first impression when they rerelease Realtime Worlds’ major flop APB. Rebranded as APB: Reloaded, the PC MMO shooter has been overhauled and slapped with a free-to-play model in an attempt to resurrect a game that had a lot of potential but missed the mark entirely when it came out last summer.
The beta has been active (but closed) since February, and will open up to everyone on May 18. Furthermore, signing up for the APB newsletter and creating a GamersFirst account has a good shot at getting you into the closed beta even earlier. It’s not common to see a game get a second life, and for the price of free-99, it’s definitely worth checking out. [via Gamasutra]
