Why we’re excited: Upon the release of his hilarious 2007 documentary The King Of Kong: A Fistful Of Quarters, director Seth Gordon must’ve had scripts tossed at him left and right. So what’d he settle on as his first big paycheck gig in Hollywood? An insipid Vince Vaughn comedy, Four Christmases, coming at the low point of the once-golden funnyman’s descent into mediocrity. Not even Kristen Chenoweth’s enormous cans could rescue Gordon and Four Christmases from the pits.

With Horrible Bosses, though, Gordon appears to be back on track, at least by the look of the film’s cast and the sound of its high-concept premise. The agreeable trio of Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis (Saturday Night Live), and Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) play three friends who hire a shady criminal (played by Jamie Foxx) to help kill their detestable employers (Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Aniston).

We’re down with everyone involved, even Farrell, who tends to fit well into dark comedies (See: the underrated In Bruges). And the name of Foxx’s character, Motherfucker Jones, is funnier than all of Four Christmases by itself. Sign us up.
