Insomniac went out of their way to give an intense experience without being in your face every second. Of the three levels we played, each featured different kinds of gameplay. For example, the just-seen "Mount Pleasant, PA" level features a lot of stealth movement in and out of caves, while Haven Town Defense is hella hyper with crazy intense battles, and Haven Boat is quiet and spooky with a horror-film feel to it. It's like playing several FPS within one title.

Foreign Relations

The single-player campaign looks dope so far, but let's keep it 100—a lot of people who buy this game are copping it for the multiplayer mode. While single-player takes place in the United States, the multiplayer will be set in various locations around the world. So far we've seen a map set in Colombia, and it didn’t disappoint, in either looks or fun factor. According to Insomniac lead designer Cameron Christian, the foreign locations are referenced in several journals found throughout the single-player campaign; those cities have already been taken over by aliens, but the multiplayer lets you stamp your passport regardless.
