Portal 2’s release date has been set firmly at April 19 for quite some time now.  However, since Valve has been rolling out various phases of their ARG, evidence is suggesting that Portal 2 will actually be available to PC users TODAY.  While nothing is confirmed, Steam users have been able to pre-install the game as of Wednesday.  In addition, a countdown clock has been spotted on the Aperture Science website which will hit zero at 12:00pm EST today. There are a multitude of other hints, rumors, and conspiracy theories blowing up around the web, but we’ll know soon enough if Valve is giving fans an awesome gift, or just plain being mean. We already know the cake is a lie—let’s just hope the early release isn't. [via Game Informer]
