After weeks of speculation, Michael Clarke Duncan is finally in negotiations to voice the character of Kilowog in Warner Bros.'s Green Lantern.

Based on the DC Comics character and starring Ryan Reynolds, the movie is deep into post-production. Just last week, Geoffrey Rush was added to the film as the voice of Tomar-Re. Once negotiations are finalized, Duncan will lend his booming voice to the Green Lantern Corps drill sergeant trainer of new recruits.

Duncan, who is no stranger to voice work, lent his vocals to the 2008 DreamWorks Animation film Kung Fu Panda.

Green Lantern stars the aforementioned Reynolds, Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Angela Bassett, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi and Jon Tenney, and opens in 3D and 2D on June 17. The second trailer is expected to debut on May 6 in front of Marvel’s Thor.
