Good news for fans of The Roots, un-mean-spirited comedy, and Jimmy Fallon: NBC has renewed Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for a third season.

Fallon—who you may remember hosted the Emmys in 2010 and delievered a spot-on hilarious parody of "Born to Run" with all your favorite TV stars—signed the deal earlier this year, according to EW. It will carry his show through the 2012 season, and marks a big stabilizer for NBC, as his ratings are consistently better than Craig Ferguson, who airs on CBS at the same time.

If this news doesn't make you happy, just remember that Late Night is the only chance you get to see The Roots on a daily basis, and rejoice.
