Fat Beats has always had one mission: to be a hip-hop Mecca, a place for heads to come together and support the culture. On Record Store Day 2011 (April 16), Fat Beats will convert their warehouse into a pop-up shop and performance space. Purchase records from their enormous library and enjoy dope performances from a roster of emcees and DJs.

Saturday will showcase performances from Exotic and Large Professor, the Stepkids, Chico Mann, Phenomenal Handclap Band, DJ Jab, DJ Center, !llmind, Amir, Eternia, Danny Dann the Beat Mann, Masta Ace, Maticulous, Kev Brown & Kaimbr, and Ray West. These performances run from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Everyone in attendance will receive a 10% coupon for the relaunched FatBeats.com, a chance to win a free one-year subscription to Wax Poetics, and a chance to win a free 500-unit printing of vinyl jackets from Dorado. Small Batch Brooklyn will be serving custom sandwich creations and brewing small-batch coffee.

This should be every hip-hop head's sole destination on Record Store Day. It literally leaves no craving unsatisfied.
