If you have an iPad, head over to the app store and download Wired Magazine's May issue. It's free. While an iPad version of the magazine usually retails for four bucks, the new issue (it's comedy themed and stars Andy Samberg) can be had at no cost thanks to a sponsorship with Adobe.

Corporate sponsored previews are a good way to ease the pain of paywalls -- The New York Times did one with Lincoln for it's new digital subscription plans. Wired teamed up with Adobe for this sponsorship, one year after the iPad app's debut last May, in part because it wants to show off some new features and get more people in the door. Starting with this issue, you can now share individual articles on social networks like Facebook and Twitter as well as make purchases of certain advertised products from directly within the app via a pop-up Amazon store.
