Zach Galifianakis and HBO have been making such beautiful music together on Bored to Death, that it only seemed like a matter of time before they'd team up again. And here we go: Galifianakis will produce, co-write and occasionally appear in an untitled mockumentary for the cable network.

The show would follow comedian Brody Stevens, a former minor league baseball player who turned to stand-up comedy in the '90s and began opening for Galifianakis. According to Deadline, the pair made a friendship happen when Stevens called Galifianakis' hotel room in Chicago one night: "It's Brody Stevens. I’d really want to take our relationship to the next level. Can we meet?" They did, and the rest is history.

Judging from Galifianakis' involvement expect this untitled series to be equal parts weird and funny. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
