Third-person shootr fans rejoice: The oft-delayed Red Faction: Armageddon finally has a release date. Originally slated to drop in March, the sequel to Red Faction: Guerilla will be released for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 31. Armageddon takes place 50 years after its predecessor and features Darius (son of Alec) Mason as the main character. Staying true to the franchise there will be a lot of developing (and destroying) the surrounding environment (what would a RF game be without killing enemies using buildings?). THQ/Volition are going hard with the promotion for the game: They'll also unveil the downloadable Red Faction: Battlegrounds for XBLA and PSN, as well as a Red Faction: Origins movie on SyFy Network.
