By now you probably know the story of Jennifer Aniston. Her career started with B-movie shlock (Leprechaun), turned the corner when she had a makeover and was cast in Friends, and hit overdrive after her fallout with then-husband Brad Pitt. Toss in a bunch of terrible-to-mediocre romantic comedies, and you've got the career of one of Hollywood's biggest stars in a nifty short paragraph. But what if Aniston had never appeared on Friends? Would her life be totally different?

Probably. X17 reports that Aniston, who's doing press for the Adam Sandler film Just Go With It, revealed to Oprah Winfrey that she was actually asked to be a cast memeber on Saturday Night Live. "They were like, 'You're so stupid,'" she said about the fact that she turned them down. "They thought I was making a huge mistake."

For the record, if anyone was going to make a mistake in that scenario it was SNL and Lorne Michaels. Aniston is many things, but it's hard to imagine her being consistently funny in live comedy sketches. Of course, that might not be what Michaels was looking at when he auditioned her. Witness this GIF of Aniston's only hosting appearance of SNL. You're welcome.
