12. ELGA ANDERSEN AS LISA BELGETTI IN LE MANS (1971)
Le Mans, starring the great Steve McQueen, is the perfect film for race enthusiasts. Foregoing long stretches of dialogue for overlong engine-to-engine duels between Ferraris and Porsches, it’s light on plot and heavy with exhaust fumes. Too much gasoline-vapor is never good for the body, though; fortunately, there’s dirty blonde engine-revver Elga Andersen, playing the widow of a driver killed mid-race. Since Le Mans isn’t much concerned with story, she’s not given much to do other than pout and look sexy. In other words, it’s a brilliantly written role.
