Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. TVLine reports that NBC has announced that the final season of Friday Night Lights will premiere on Friday, April 15 at 8 p.m. As champing-at-the-bit fans know, the final season is currently wrapping up on DirecTV before heading to network television in the spring.

Of course there will be another way for fans to watch. In a relatively bizarre move, the DVD release of FNL's final season will happen on April 5, a full ten days before the network broadcast premiere. That means Dillon devotees—like us—will be able to purchase and bulk-watch the final season before it even airs on NBC.

Why is this the preferable Friday Night Lights strategy? Because it seems worth $30-plus to watch FNL in one fell swoop than spread out over nearly three months. Isn't your time—and FNL fanboy-and-girl craziness—worth a little change?
