Backstory: Husband Edward Richardson became enraged after wife Sarah hadn't replied to his text messages concerning her new relationship status, and therefore paid a visit to her in-laws house where he viciously attacked her with a knife and attempted to take his own life. Failing in his attempt at suicide, the police arrested him on murder charges.
Punishment: He's been given a life sentence with a minimum term of 18 years.
