Network: FX
Stars: Donal Logue, Michael Raymond-James, Rockmond Dunbar, Laura Allen, Jamie Denbo, Kimberly Quinn
Complex co-sign: This neo-noir detective sleeper may have developed too slowly for people, as its unlicensed private investigators, a recovering alcoholic ex San Diego cop (Logue) and his former burglar buddy (Raymond-James), take a while to realize that several smaller cases are part of a larger conspiracy. Still, we loved the show's performances (Logue especially), its characters' realistic personal problems, and the sharp but not overwritten banter between the two friends. It's a shame that FX canceled it after just one season; we hope that our post on poorly names detective shows wasn't partially to blame.
