Yay for sleeper games. Ninja Theory showed us this game a couple of months before it dropped, and while it seemed fun, we had no idea what a beautiful experience it would turn out to be. As a space criminal who's forced to escort a super-hot tomboy through a lushly gorgeous post-apocalyptic NYC, you climb and shoot your way through a truly satisfying single-player campaign. Danger-free platforming and intermittently wonky camera controls drop the title a bit, but fantastic graphics, voice acting, and writing breeze it into our top 25 with room to spare.
