After the first two games dealt with the two trilogies of the Star Wars canon, this one deals with the Clone Wars, which as viewers know from the second trilogy and the animated series are characterized by massive battles involving hundreds of droids. To accommodate it, Traveller's Tales developed an all-new engine that's capable of rendering upwards of 200 onscreen enemies at a time—LucasArts production manager Andrew Bell told me the team had managed 230, and that number's bound to go up before the game's release. Add in more than 120 playable characters, more than 20 playable vehicles, and an absolute minimum 30-hour playthrough time (to 100% completion), you're looking at a game that's just about the size of the first two games combined.
