Politics may not be the hottest thing in the streets, but if you look closely, it's clear that politicians bear more than a little similarity to rappers. They both stay embroiled in beef, go to jail, enjoy their fair share of scandals, and take shots at each other. Last Friday, for instance, a book excerpt leaked quoting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid throwing bows at President Obama back in 2008, saying that he had "no Negro dialect" unless he chose to use one. And all we had to say was: Yowza, old man, hope you're not counting on re-election anytime soon!
The thing is, we hear all the time (and share with you all the time) about the right wing spewing racial fuckery, but today we're pleased to do a little equal-opportunity bashing by looking back at the surprising amount of ignorance and bigotry coming from the left. So kick back, and take in your fair share of 'cism as we look back at a history of racist comments coming from Democrats. Stop drinking the donkey punch, jackasses!
