Desiigner’s “Tiimmy Turner” is one of the most polarizing songs of 2016 so far, and while we’re still waiting on that full piano version to surface, another take on the song is spreading on social media. This one doesn’t come from Desiigner, though.
The latest viral version of “Tiimmy Turner” is by Washington, D.C. percussionist Malik Stewart. His Instagram is full of street performance videos like this, this, and this, but a video of him soloing on a snare drum to “Tiimmy Turner” was posted to Twitter yesterday, July 25, and already has over 16,000 retweets. It’s especially impressive because he drops a stick mid-performance and keeps going with only one stick.
