Beenie Man was supposed to headline the second night of Drake’s OVO Fest, however the dancehall artist’s plans have changed. According to an Instagram post yesterday afternoon, Beenie Man stated that he was denied a visa to Canada because he had contracted the Zika virus. In addition, he also explained that the same mosquito gave him Dengue Fever, and he was undergoing “Blood test[s], injections, pills.”
Despite this, he ended the post with some optimism, writing, “Selassie a guide I n I right through so once mi have life me a give thanks. #Unstoppable.” Prayers for a speedy recovery.
