Back in January, Small Professor released his Gigantic, Vol. 1 album, showcasing his awesome production prowess with MCs like Guilty Simpson, Has-Lo, Reef the Lost Cauze, Von Pea, and many other apt spitters providing sharpened darts. It’s one of those projects that you want to give to kids who scream “THERE’S NO REAL HIP-HOP ANYMORE,” primarily to shut them up. There’s always dope hip-hop, you just aren’t paying attention.
For this special remix EP for Gigantic, Vol. 1 (entitled Yokozuna), he takes tracks featuring the above four MCs from the album and puts his own special spin on them, either enhancing from the source material or totally flipping how he originally approached the track.
