Watch Mother of Four's Emotional Rant About Vince Staples' "Norf Norf"

Surely, Vince Staples understands that there will be people who won't like his music. But this response from a mother of four is probably not necessarily what he anticipated.

As Genius points out, this woman uploaded a rant about Summertime '06 single "Norf Norf" after what appears to be her one and only encounter with rap. While driving her children to school earlier that day, the local Top 40 radio station played the song in question and left her utterly appalled.

"This rap song comes on. Guys, I could not believe what I was hearing," she angrily said in the video. "This is on our local radio station! This crap is being played. I couldn't even believe the words that I was listening to.

"As a mom, this infuriated me. The cuss words were bleeped out, but we can dictate what they were saying. I started getting tears in my eyes." To give the viewers a taste of what she had to experience, she then read the lyrics to "Norf Norf." Some of the lyrics upset her so much that she began to cry. "I cannot believe that filth is on [the radio station]," she said tearfully after reciting the lyrics. "Top hits! I just don't even understand why they think that's okay.

"I'm raising four little girls, and that just breaks my heart. That's the kind of music that's being played [...] music has a strong influence on our children. I just want you moms and dads to beware what your kids are listening to can have an impact on their lives."

Ultimately, she chalked it up to fate, coming across this song and being able to share this message with everyone.

"We need to pray, guys. We need to pray for the youth," she pleaded, then crediting the song to an unknown artist named Summertime '06 (i.e. the album that "Norf Norf" appears on). 

Needless to say, her painful misinterpretation of Vince Staples' honest recounting of what growing up in Long Beach is like might be a bit off. Regardless of how "Norf Norf" started trending, though, let this be a gentle reminder for you to listen to Summertime '06 again.
