Prince’s Ashes on Display at Paisley Park in Paisley Park-Shaped Urn
The custom urn features crystals, Prince's purple Yamaha piano, and white doves.

Earlier this week, Prince's sprawling Paisley Park residence was opened for public tours for the first time ever. The TODAY Show shared an exclusive sneak peek of what a fan can expect from entering into Prince's world earlier this week, including displays of the prolific artist's many instruments, elaborate outfits, and much more. According to Billboard, though, there appears to be one very special unexpected item on display for in honor of The Purple One: Prince's ashes inside an urn that was created in the shape of Paisley Park itself, located in the atrium of his home.
The 3D-printed ceramic and glass urn was reportedly designed by Prince's sister and nephew, Tyka and President Nelson, in collaboration with Foreverence, a company that specializes in crafting customized burial urns.
"Tyka Nelson hand‐selected seven iridescent crystals—representing the artist’s favorite number—to be part of the urn design and placed the final jewel in the piece herself," read a statement from Foreverence. The urn also features his signature purple Yamaha piano and white doves.
As photos are not permitted on the Paisley Park tours, this is something that you'll really have to go see for yourself.
While Paisley Park was set to open its doors for the general public on October 6, it has been reported that the city is still trying to figure out how these tours will affect the city, as well as the logistics surrounding an influx of up to 60,000 tourists a year.
