After releasing a new song dedicated to his loyal fans and hosting a listening party on an actual boat earlier today, Lil Yachty’s Summer Songs 2 is here in full.
There’s been more praise than criticism for his debut tape Lil Boat, but Lil Yachty has heard both. He’s proved to be one of the most divisive artists in the game, and even more people were inclined to weigh in after XXL included Yachty in this year’s Freshman list.
Yet Summer Songs 2 is a confident, cohesive release with a plenty of early standout moments. However you feel about him, this is just the beginning for the 18-year-old rapper.
Lil Yachty will be embarking on his very first headlining tour beginning in August. He premiered more than new music on the boat today, too—FADER debuted their documentary, Keep Sailing, on Lil Yachty, Lil Boat, Darnell Boat, Burberry Perry and the Sailing Team.
