Watch a Snippet From Upcoming Film 'Slice' Starring Chance The Rapper

'Slice' arrives in theaters sometime in 2017.

Last year, it was reported that Chance The Rapper will be starring Austin Vesely's upcoming debut feature film, Slice. While there hadn't been many updates on the project since, those who are looking forward to see Chance on the big screen will be happy to know that Slice will arrive in theaters sometime in 2017.

Chance took to Twitter today to share a short but tantalizing clip of the new film, in which the rapper will play Slice's protagonist, Dax. Slice is produced by film studio A24, which is the same studio behind such films as Ex Machina, Amy, Room, The WitchThe Lobster, and most recently, Moonlight. According to A24, Slice "takes place in a mysterious city and centers around an enigmatic outlaw framed for a killing spree that targets unsuspecting pizza delivery boys."

This isn't Chance and Austin Vesely's first time working together; Vesely had previously directed the creative video for Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment's "Sunday Candy." He wrote and directed the film, and quietly shot it in Chicago over the summer.
