5 On It is a feature that looks at five of the best under-the-radar rap findings from the past week, highlighting new or recently discovered artists, or interesting obscurities.

For this week’s edition of 5 On It, we’re handing the reigns over once again. This time, up-and-coming P&P favorite Kevin Abstract makes his second editorial appearance on the site, taking over my duties for the weekend and giving you his five favorite recent rap findings. RobOlu – “Pull Up”

“My friend Puppy sent me RobOlu’s music earlier today on Facebook. I asked him to send me something people were sleeping on & this is what I got from him. Thanks buddy. :) The song is sick. Beat is wild & I like his voice a lot. It reminds me of a mix between Robb Banks & Tyler, The Creator. I would imagine this is wild at a show.”

Jimmyspacev – “Dirty Shit”

“A few days ago my good pal Drip asked me to Skype with him & some of his friends. When I got on I saw this chocolate man who kinda looked like my bff HK. During the call he linked me to his SC. I liked his stuff a lot & like legit the next day he released this song. His flow is awesome & he sounds gr8 over the beat. Drip snapped. Idk what he’s working on or what he has coming next, but I’m excited.”

Jack Larsen & Young Lungs – “ur gone”

“Jack Larsen isn’t really a ‘rapper’. He blends genres together like a lot of bedroom artists do in 2014. I got to work with him + meet him this summer. He makes some of my favorite music. Perfect winter time 808s & Heartbreak sounding stuff. My bff Young Lungs is featured on this. He snaps. S/o the kids.”
